— Ring of Honor has announced that TNA star Samoa Joe will be returning to the company for a one-night-only appearance at the November 22th PPV taping in Chicago. Joe is a former ROH World Champion. At this time, his opponent has not been named. Joe’s match will not be taped for the PPV, so the only way to see Joe’s ROH return will be to attend the PPV taping in Chicago or wait a few weeks for the DVD release of the event. The main event for that show will be ROH champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson in a grudge match.
— As we reported here this weekend, longtime ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky is now gone from the company. F4WOnline.com is reporting that Adam Pearce has been named the new booker for Ring of Honor. The plan is to feature more of a “1970s style” of wrestling.
